    Sterling Construction Company Inc. is currently seeking a Benefits Administrator to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. We are a publicly traded construction company that specializes in heavy civil infrastructure construction and infrastructure rehabilitation as well as residential construction projects, primarily in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

    Under the supervision of the Sr. Benefits Administrator, this position provides timely advice and clarity on company health and welfare benefit programs, participates in annual enrollment planning, communications, and employee enrollment and benefit related activities. Provides day to day support for acting as a conduit between benefit plan functions and the business. Coordinates benefits for employees on leave of absence; benefits continuation and disability plans. Prepares monthly reporting and ensures timely payment of invoices through the accounting process.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience with 401k plan administration is required
    • A minimum of five years of experience working with various benefit plans
    • Intermediate understanding of health insurance plans, LTD/STD plans, COBRA, an Cafeteria/Section 125 plans
    • Excellent attention to detail is crucial
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Able to work well within a team of coworkers
    • Able to multi-task and handle deadlines
    • Strong work ethic
    • Able to adapt to changes quickly
    • Bilingual (Spanish) required
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • HRIS data entry experience, Viewpoint Construction Management Software experience highly desirable
